The Information Entrepreneur: Strategies and Success Stories for Information Services Startups
My new book, The Information Entrepreneur, offers a behind-the-scenes look into the world of independent information professionals. It brings together the stories of veteran info-entrepreneurs, a review of existing literature, and my own experience to offer insight and encouragement to prospective business owners. Topics include:
- Why Information Entrepreneurship? – featuring stories of veteran independent info pros
- Are You Ready? – addressing the risks and realities of leaving the traditional workforce to become an information entrepreneur
- Leveraging Past Experience – identifying professional skills and how they transfer to running an information services business
For this book, I interviewed 20 successful independent info pros. They shared their paths, learning experiences, and words of wisdom to help prospective info-entrepreneurs make a successful transition into business ownership.
